Hi moms.. pediatric has said that since my baby is having breast milk and formula and he is already used to formula.. no point in waiting for 6 months.. I can start giving him rice water and dal water once he completes 4 months.. what do you all have to say for this.. is it ok?

Hi. I was also told so and I did it. now my lo is 7.5 months and I give him what we eat at home but smashed in the mixer.

what all did u feed Ur baby from the beginning.. after rice and dal water.. what comes next

rice n dal water shud never be given as it replaces bm or formula. its void of any nutrients. instead u can give mashed veges and fruits.

Rice and dal water are low calorie items which will fill the baby up. At this age optimum calories are needed for the right development. It is best to continue with breast milk or formula till six months and then move to semi solids.
