what is the precaution of low lying placenta?? doc said its not so low lying bt a bit of low lying,in 1st 2months i had brown spotting and on 5th month i had brown spotting.what precaution should i have to take? is it dangerous???

Sonali Shivlani

Low lying placenta means that the lower edge of the placenta is close to the mouth of the uterus. This can cause spotting and at times cause a risk of the placenta separating pre term. Moms are asked to take it easy and rest as much as possible. If it is not very low lying the placenta will move up by week 28.
