# hello sonali it's recommended to breastfeed babies until 1 yr and to avoid cow's milk. i have jus started weaning foods like soft khichidi, mashed fruits, seera for my son who's 6 mths which milk is to be added to seera EBM or cow's milk or formula..if EBM when should it b added and wat temp

You are right. We avoid cows milk and other animal milk till at least one year of age. You can add expressed breast milk and follow the recipe of the sheera. I would avoid sugar as well. You can consider adding a little formula once the porridge is completely cooked as well.

thank you for clarifying, i add a small amount of organic jaggery like a pinch to the sheets, hope that is alright

Yes a little jaggery is fine. Just remember that sweet is very easy to get habituated to and becomes a difficult habit to break.
