Pregnancy is often characterized by craving for specific foods...Mangoes are absolutely healthy for the expecting mother. The key here is to remember that you have it in moderation, just like anything else you will be eating. The vitamins and minerals present in mangoes will provide you and the unborn baby with a number of nutrients. The sugars present in mangoes are natural. This makes it better for consumption than succumbing to cravings of other desserts which are high in synthetic sugars and preservatives. Both ripe and unripe mangoes are safe to consume during pregnancy. The ripe fruits contain natural sugars that can be a great alternative to high-calorie desserts. The ripe mangoes stimulate appetite, aid digestion and improve complexion. The unripe mangoes contain a good amount of vitamins. These fruits treat morning sickness, cure constipation and fight acidity.
