My twins wake up at 6 am to attend school and then i have begun to skip the day nap. they start to sleep by 7-8 and sleep till 6 am. but still in the morning, they are not really willing to get up. my questions is -- Is it ok to skip the day nap. How many hours of sleep do 3-4 year olds need?

prisha afternoon nap as they come from school is a must for a few months else as it goes they start sleeping in the classroom and they become more cranky. put them to an hour and a half nap once they are back from school. I used to do it till my daughter went to 1st grade ( full day school).

Hi Prisha Lalwani #mybigmuffin used to always make me mad when it came to day time napping... The day I would make her take a nap she used to sleep really late at night...
When she began school she used to wake up at 8 and was active the whole day... But would always struggle to sleep during the day...
I have personally given up trying on the day nap... More because she is active throughout the day and doesn't show any sign of being cranky due to lack of sleep... And she ends up sleeping early...  around 10... And is fresh the next morning... Though there are days that she doesnt want to wake up.. But personally I feel it's alright toll d time the kids is active the entire day and isn't cranky due to lack of sleep... Plz observe the signs for fatigue for a few days... If they are sorted then there shud b no harm in going with them skipping d nap

my babies aare active whole day but by 6-ish 7-ish they are like dropping to sleep. rest of the day they are extremely active and wkae up fresh. its just that they dont wnt to eat after lunch and usually sleep after having a banana or biscuits or something that is not a meal really, but theres little i can do about it right now. otherwise they are fit and fine and oh mygod active

That's superb then na Prisha... I have observed my girls friends too... N all mommies say that their kids hardly take a nap during d day... N like I know ur  twinies r too active to be sleepy or cranky so shouldn't worry about no nap...
