Q:

my baby's eyes sometimes looks as a squinted eye and sometimes normal.. is it normal to look like that.. please advise..

Roopashree Siddireddy

Yes Dear. Don't worry. Every person will have some squinting. Baby's eye balls yet to set. As they are small... we will notice more.

Dr. Shilpitha Shanthappa

Hello kamalini...
Many newborns appear to squint, as the eye muscles are weak and also the bridge of the nose is wide, which can make a squint appear worse... it ll resolve by maximum 8-9months... if u have doubt then discuss with ur GP, he ll clear ur doubt...

Even my baby eyes sometimes appear like that. i discussed with my pedi. he told it can be due to weekness as she is lean. He told to observe as time passes by .. it may resolve as she grows and told nothing can be done till baby turns 2.

Sheeba Vijesh

Hi kamalini, it is normal. their vision is not yet developed, so maybe they are not focussing properly. it will correct by 6-12 months.

Ankita Popli

babies eye takes at least 2 years to set, and within that time it will appear as squint.
