If the first surgery was due to a medical reason like hypertension which has a possibility of repeating again then the doctor will not opt for a vbac. However if it was circumstantial such as fetal position then chances of a vbac are high. It will also depend on the type of scar and stitches used during the first time.

possibility of normal delivery depends on the reason for doing a cesarean the first time. If all is ok with this pregnancy, talk to your doc about wanting to have a trial for a vaginal birth after a cesarean (VBAC).
