Hi, i had a c-section 15days back n till now i have not tied my tummy but now i m noticing dat it is bulging day by day...how can i get my normal back to my normal shape? Is it compulsory to tie d tummy wid cloth to reduce it?

As you have gone through c-section... you have to wait for stitches to heal. Not just from outside, but also from inside. Don't worry. Now just concentrate on your baby and your health. Drink lot of water and avoid any items that can cause gastric problem. Once your gyno check and tell you..you are ok. Say after 3 months.. you can tie saree/ cloth or use Abdominal belt. Start walking. Do do stretching exercises. Later once you gain your strength...you can do exercises.

hi chaithra, tieying tummy is not at all necessary, and it does nothing to bring it back to shape. you have to exercise to reduce tummy. consult with doctor, and start exercising. now itself you can walk. after 6 months, you can do cardio and core strengthening exercises. it takes time for tummy to go back to normal, but don't worry, if you work on it, it is possible...

A maternity belt (or even a long piece of cloth like saree) is used to tie the belly tightly so as to give support to the abdominal organs and muscles. This also helps the organs that are loose to get back to their positions.. if you have had normal delivery, you can start tying your stomach even after a few hours of birth. If you have had a C-section, you need to wait couple of weeks (or more depending on your wound’s healing) to start tying the stomach. C-section mothers should take it slow as any pressure on the abdomen can interfere with the healing of the deeper layers of the stomach..
Other best way is to have
a healthy diet and regular exercise go a long way in reducing your postpartum belly than just using maternity belts which you can start after 3 months...
