Dr. Shilpitha Shanthappa

hello...
It's perfectly normal for babies to spit up after feedings or even to vomit once in a while without apparent cause or warning. In fact, some babies spit up quite frequently and show no ill effects. This is called reflux, and most babies outgrow it by age 1.. But when babies spit up a lot and it affects their growth or causes throat pain or breathing problems, it's called gastroesophageal reflux disease, or GERD. Other symptoms may include coughing or gagging during feedings or showing signs of abdominal pain, like arching their back, drawing up their legs, and waking up screaming..
Please follow these- keeping the baby upright after feedings,  giving him smaller, more frequent meals,  burping him more frequently..You please eliminate cow's milk from your diet if you're breastfeeding or switching to a hypoallergenic formula, because the reflux symptoms can be caused by an intolerance of certain milk proteins..
