Spoorthy Sb I did...I used to pull my nipple with pigeon's nipple puller before offering her feed but she used to cry hard and refuse every time.....my lactation counselor suggested Madela calma nipple then...I fed her twice and offered my nipples before every feed and in 2 days she started feeding properly....it took around one month to settle down though as  I started facing nipple soreness and bleeding...had to pump my milk and give her from calma nipple...but with ardo gold cream that issue also resolved

never use nipple shield they make the situation worst...my baby was born on Sunday and lactation counselor was not in hospital...the nurse gave me nipple shield and baby baby took feed from it but due to this she refused my nipples later...

I was having same problem. I used nipple shield for one month and it did help.my nipple to came out little bit. after that I started giving feed directly. nipple will come out automatically as baby will suck. it took around one month for baby to adjust but has settled now.

Neeta Nihale how many times should I do or how soon it will come out using syringe method so that baby can latch soon

Neeta Nihale

before feeding the baby, use it 2 to 3 times.. it makes the nipples latchable.. then offer them to baby...
try it for few days.. baby start latching.. dont get frustrated.. be positive.. dont suck the nipples strongly by the syringe.. as it will hurt you..
all d best.. it helped me.

Neeta Nihale

if you find any difficulty m here for you.. just msgd me.

Spoorthy Sb

Neeta Nihale sorry to ask another question..
I tried now using syringe method..baby latched just for few seconds and sucked. So shall I do this daily or after pulling out from the syringe shall I use nipple shield for few days?

Neeta Nihale

yes you can use shield temporary.. but dont give up.. try daily n.increase the time gradually.. do not force the baby.. keep in skin to skin contact with baby.. my baby takes almost a week..
no need to say sorry.. we all mommies are here to help each other..
a big thanks to :BabyChakra

Neeta Nihale wen I try that syringe method nipples will come out little and after that it goes back to normal status.. so if it doesn't increase its length what's is the use of this method, as it's painful to pull daily....

Rakhi Puri (beautyofmommying)

Spoorthy Sb syringe or nipple puller will help you feed Everytime....the nipple will come lil out with time...in my case it took me around month...I used everything I shared the image of few left in my drawer till date....with time baby gets used to...in couple of months your baby will latch automatically without any effort... just continue feeding...

Neeta Nihale

yes dear it happens but syringe is used to make nipples temporary so that baby can latch.. once the baby start latching then you don't need to use this method..
keep your baby with you most of the time.. try when baby is hungry or sleepy... it takes time but dont worry...

Dr. Mugdha Joshi can you assist?

Neeta Nihale

dont use syringe if you are not comfortable with... use your fingers to make a shape.. like scissor so that the baby can latch easily..
