Prams are more sturdy versus stroller. It depends upon your usage. If it's just for evening walks or malls visits you can go for a stroller but if you plan to use it during travels etc go for pram. Try to look for one that has 3-reclining seating position. Graco and Chichoo are among the good brands. Choose as per your budget and need.
Buying a stroller is a good option. You can take baby out for evening walk. After 6 months..when he start sitting, you can make baby sit and feed. If you frequently go to mall or have a travel plan via flight...then check for stroller based on weight ( him much weight stroller can take). Baby will sit in prams or stroller till they learn how to walk... lateron they may not prefer to sit...but will try to walk. Chicco and graco as charu said is best. Check online ( firstcry, Amazon, snapdeal for better offers). Chicco is expensive. I bought Gracco for 10k.( in offer on snapdeal) is excellent. Luvlap, sunbaby are other trending brands. Better go to shop shop and see personally.( can compare lateron online). see easy, foldable, good cushioned and sturdy one.
The brands to go for - Mee mee is reasonable and sturdy. Chicoo and Mothercare are also good quality but more expensive.
