Connaught Place

I have been to national museum many times ( in school and college days) but never thought that I will write a review on it. And my recent visit with my daughter forced me to write about it. It's definitely a wonderful place for history lovers and kids who are more than 10 yrs old.

But unfortunately it's not a place for young kids because they can't run, they can't play and there is nothing which can interest them. Yes , there is a garden but if you want take them to garden then India Gate would be a better place.

Why for kids 10 yrs and above....they can see India's culture,Indian Art,The collection of artifacts from Indus valley civilization to Mughal history ,the Harappa and Mohenjodaro artifacts,The Gupta, Maurya, Buddhist galleries and lot more. They will be really excited to see things in real which they are currently reading in their books.

Don't forget to take the audio guide, even if you don't take it there is a free guided tour on 2 days in week ( please check on website). Entry fee is only Rs 10.

Mums don't even think to eat from the canteen/cafe it's not at all hygienic, so are the washroom very filthy.

You can take your kids 10 & above for educational tour of 2-3 hours but for infants, toddlers and young kids it's definitely not the place. So as a mum of toddler I don't recommend it.
