#recipeideas#hacks Yesterday I had bought few packs of biscuits and almost 80 percent of the biscuits turned out to be crumbling and broken...first I was really upset with the mess but then made this recipe out of it!!...it turned out to be yummy!!
Biscuit halwa!!
Ingredients
2-3 packs of biscuits (Parle G, nutrichoice, Good day etc)
2-3 spoons of sugar
Few drops of vanilla essence
Chopped nuts of choice
1/4 cup (dried cherries, tooti fruity, cranberry etc)
3 tsp oil
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
A pinch of salt
1 cup milk
Method 1. In a mixer grinder add all biscuits and pulse and grind 2-3 times to make a fine powder. Take out this powder in a bowl.
2. Add sugar, vanilla essence, baking powder, baking soda, salt and oil to this and mix it well with a wisk.
3. Add milk slowly and make a mix of all this which is smooth without lumps. You can add more than a cup.
4. Add nuts and berries of choice and mix well.
5. Grease an oven proof dish and add this batter. Bake it in convection mode for 15 minutes in a microwave.
Keep checking in between as all ovens are different. You can see the mix attaining a dark brown color and becoming like a halwa. Serve it hot. You can adjust sugar as per taste. You can add nuts and berries of choice. You can also try giving it a chocolate flavor by using chocolate biscuits and little Coco powder.
Fruit and veggie sandwich!! Sandwiches are conventionally made with Vegetable, potatoes, non veg etc but adding little twist to them can not only change and enhance their taste but also can make them healthy for kids!!
Very finely chopped ( apple, pear, pieces of grapes)
2 tbsp bits of paneer (paneer mixed with tomato sauce can also be used)
Seasoning (salt and pepper to taste, chilli flakes, mixed herbs)
2 tsp mustard sauce (optional)
Method
1. Take a bowl and add all chopped vegetables, paneer and fruits to it.
2. Add mayonnaise, mustard sauce and seasoning and mix everything well. 3. Apply this mixture on one slice of bread and cover with another.
4. Roast this on a non stick pan or griddle with little butter. You can serve it with a dip of your choice. It's a kind of complete meal for kids. If they are bored with regular food we can give this. You can add pineapple, olives, pomegranate seeds to it too and add some sev on it to make it more appealing to kids!!

Palak Dosa Ingredients for 4 Servings 1. 2 bunches spinach
2. 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
3. 2 cup dosa battersalt as required
4. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
5. 1/2 cup water
6. 3 teaspoon virgin olive oil
7. 3 teaspoon coconut flake How to make Palak Dosa STEP 1 Firstly, wash spinach leaves under cold water and keep it aside. Now, take a grinder and add spinach and water into it. Grind the leaves until you get a paste-like consistency. Transfer it in large bowl and add dosa batter in it. Mix it well and make sure that the consistency remains the same. STEP 2 Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder and cumin into the batter. Give it a stir and set it aside for some time. Now, place a skillet over medium flame and heat olive oil in it. When the oil is hot enough, using a ladle, transfer the batter onto the skillet and spread it evenly. STEP 3 When the dosa starts to cook, you will notice tiny bubbles rising. Flip the dosa and fry it on the other side as well. Once done, transfer it in a plate and sprinkle some coconut flakes over it. Repeat the same steps with the remaining batter and make the dosas. Serve these warm with sambar and coconut chutney to enjoy! #recipeideas
