DIY Activities For Your Junior : Magic Painting

If your child does not fancy cutting and sticky tapes, maybe colours and paints can interest him/ her. Finger painting, vegetable stamping, candle painting are the most common tried and tested ideas that will never go wrong.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • candle
  • water colour
  • paintbrush

Steps

1. Draw lines or images on sketch paper with white crayon or white wax candle. Try to make heavy strokes as you draw.

2. Prepare different colors of watered down tempera, watercolor, or poster paint.

3. Paint over the sketch paper. Wow! Look what appears as you start painting.

4. Continue painting to reveal your entire crayon resist picture.
