1. My Mom Quotient:

My approach towards handling my child is to make situations exciting for him through enthusiastic and fun approach to help him focus on the end result. Over these years of growing my son I have realized that if I want my child to listen to me I have to go with the flow of his mood and then divert him to make him do what’s right for him or what I intend to make him learn. Somehow if you pause and listen to what your child is saying then sooner or later he or she is ready to listen to you too. Therefore patience is the key.

2. My Mom INC. Story: Being a first time mommy, like any other mom I was very excited to get the best and do the best for my child. Furthermore my husband and I love travelling and it was on our travels abroad, after Aryaman (my son) was born, when both- the feelings of getting my child quality things; & uniqueness of products available in other countries, combined to give me the idea of establishing my venture in India. The idea was to source colorful, unique, high quality and totally awesome products that compliment every kid’s happy & carefree spirit.

Initially I started with direct selling and got a good response and exposure. Today my products feature on firstcry, hopscotch, babyoye, flipkart, amazon, kinderspace and many others. I have products from renowned international brands of Seattle, Brazil, Hongkong, Germany and all across the world under Elefantastik and I plan to keep exploring and adding unique and awesome products from all over the world for our kids.

3. Who inspired/ supported me:

Elefantastik which started as a short time motherhood enjoyment venture got a lovely response from parents and is being taken forward seriously only because of my husband who not only supported me financially but stood with me physically to manage all the logistics. He gave me his time and inspired me to keep it alive. We are living our passion with Elefantastik and want it to grow into a renowned name in kids industry.

4. Advice/Tips:

From my experience, I would say being an entrepreneur is very fulfilling and similar to the feeling of fulfilment of growing your child every day.
Women are born multitaskers, skilful with good time management and administrative qualities. With a little belief in our abilities and support of our loved ones we women can aspire to do more in our lives.

As long as you are passionate about what you’re doing, balancing work-life, managing time and tackling all road blocks will be an easy puzzle.
