Recreate The Story Of Diwali With Your Child

The story of Diwali has been an integral part of most of our growing up years. Waking up early in the morning for a round of crackers, the traditional ‘ubtan’ bath, gobbling up all those sweets and savouries for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

But the story of Diwali has a special place in my heart. And I decided to recreate it for and with my son! We had a lot of fun building the story and learnt some fine and gross motor skills along the way, not to forget culture and mythology awareness.

So, here’s presenting the story of Diwali in 6 frames!

Values: Victory of good over evil

In this kind of an exercise, the child is involved in the story at so many levels. The story is etched in the child’s memory as an experience rather than just a story.
