Instant Oats Dosa Recipe

 

Ingredients:

 

Rolled oats - 1 cup

Rice flour - 1/2 cup

Semolina/Bombay rava/Sooji - 1/4 cup

Curd - 1 cup

Jeera - 1/2 tsp

Ginger 1 pinch

Grated carrot - 1/4 cup

Salt to taste

 

The above measurements provided is for 3 servings.

 

Procedure:

  1. In a bowl mix all the above ingredients and set it aside for good 15-20 minutes
  2. Add water if needed to make a thin batter in a falling consistency( rava dosa batter consistency).
  3. Heat tava and pour dosa batter as thin as possible.
  4. Finish off with ghee.
  5. Crispy and healthy oats dosa ready to eat.

 

The above simple recipe is for infants above 8 months. You can replace the carrot with different veggies every day. I have used the same recipe with grated beets as well.

 

For older toddlers you can tweak the same recipe a bit by adding finely chopped onion, coriander.
