A Mother teaches lessons in life’s long run,
while many things she purposely shuns.

At 1, she intentionally leaves your hand,
to teach you walk and steadily stand.

At 2, she ignores all your tantrums thrown,
to imbibe you with moral values well known.

At 5, she stops playing with you,
as she knows sharing lesson stands in queue.

At 10, she pays no heed towards your dressing,
as she wants you to build your own styling.

At 13, she ceases listening to complaints,
as quality of letting go in you gets deeply ingrained.

At 16, she turns down your demanding hues,
as she wants you to understand monetary values.

At 18, she doesn’t resist you from stepping outside,
as she wants you to live your dreams for your future bright.

At 20, she stops taking decisions for you,

as she wants you to grasp what is right and what is wrong.

At 30, she doesn’t listen to you anymore,
as she wants you to spend time with your love more.

Though a mother leaves many things on children at certain age her eyes are always there on them. She feels delighted and contented if we take the responsibility off her shoulder. It is very rightly said that a “mother will be a mother”, she does everything for her children and for their future prospects. So on this ‘Mothers Day”, let us wish and express gratitude to our mother and motherly figures.
