We all love babies and certainly want to have one of our own someday. But when you come to think of it, it’s not always the right time to conceive one, is it? It’s very important to think before we make such a decision for it’s about dealing with another life – a life that you choose to embrace as part of your own, be it birthing or adopting. Hence, we have in place a thing called family planning, an unwritten, but known “reality check” only to let us know if we’re actually prepared or unprepared for the responsibility.
Here, we help you understand family planning for we want you to be 100% sure about the decision.
Are you both stable enough to manage another member in the house? Be absolutely sure. If yes, brilliant! But what if you’re not?! It is important to observe the mood of the house and your equation with your partner. Are you both having issues lately? Is anger management one of them? Think twice for it isn’t really healthy for the child to be raised in a negative environment and it a baby will not solve the problem.
We aren’t necessarily doubting the positivity that is brought about by a baby’s presence, but it is also important to be able to return this positivity to your bundle of joy, isn’t it?
Sit and have a proper conversation about this with each other. Try to understand if you both are on the same page and ready to be teammates in the process. Parenting is not a forced job, it should come from the heart.
Also, if you any have issues that are still bothering you from the past, seek a counsellor. Having a child is a long-term responsibility and it isn’t fair for your child to experience negativity between his/her parents. If you don’t know this, we think it is time for you to know that a child is highly influenced by what he/she observes in their parents.
Are you unable to keep up with your professional and personal life? Well, in that case, you certainly need to make a huge change before you go ahead and start a family. See, it is completely understandable to have a jumbled schedule these days, where you’re unable to eat or sleep on time. However, it really isn’t healthy for the baby to have the same schedule right from the moment they are born. Make sure you untangle your life and make it easier, so you don’t miss out on his/her initial and beautiful days of growing up. It’s all about time management in the 21st century anyway, isn’t it?
The lifestyle we lead these days isn’t very healthy. For a baby to be conceived, you have to make sure his/her first home within your womb is clean and free from any toxicants that might still be in your body. If you drink or even smoke, reduce it or we suggest you go on a detox mode for at least a year before you plan your child. It is only because these habits and substances can have severe consequences and effects on your child’s brain and can hinder his/her cognitive senses from developing fully. You wouldn’t want to do that to your child, would you? Seriously, consider it.
Are you financially stable? Do you have enough to take care of a baby right now? Or if you’re a parent already, do you have enough sustenance resources to manage another one? Please think twice before making a decision. Childcare is expensive and we don’t want you to drown in an ocean of loans and debts.
Happy parenting!
