2. Draksharishta


Known to aid in cleaning the bowels, this tonic is usually taken in a dosage of 10 ml with equal quantity of water after meals.


3. Triphala Churna


Triphala is a mixture of three fruits – amla, haritaki, and vibhitaki. Take it with honey twice a day or take 5 to 10 gm with hot water daily at bedtime.


4. Swarnakravyadarasa


This Ayurvedic remedy helps in combating digestive troubles of the acute or chronic kind and improves overall health and wellbeing. The normal dosage for this formulation is one-fifth of a gram and you can take a dose twice or thrice daily after meals with water or buttermilk.


5. Trivrut Lehya


Acknowledged as a harmless laxative, this lumpy medicine with jam-like consistency alleviates constipation when used on a regular basis. Normally, the dosage administered is 6 to 12 grams and it is to be taken before bedtime with hot water.


6. Gandhak Vati


A tablet of Gandhak Vati with hot water after meals could also help in ending constipation woes.
