An all time favourite and a classic, this book has been read by mothers all over the world for the past 30 years and is still going strong. It has a format in a question-answer manner and is a know it all encyclopaedia, which consists of pictures of the changes in a mother’s anatomy duirng pregnancy as well. Reading this book will help you visualise the stages of pregnancy as time goes by and will give you remedies and tricks that you can apply for any given issue you may face.
4. The Bhagwad Gita
One of the ancient Indian texts, the Bhagwad Gita, not only talks about the philosophical aspects of life, but also helps with the practicality in life. It basically bridges the gap between being a mother and being a parent. Some people also believe that reading the Bhagwad Gita aloud during pregnancy helps in the development of the baby and improves the overall growth of their baby.
5. Love You Forever (by Robert Munsch)
The relationship between a mother and her child is a very important one. A mother’s love can never be put in quantifiable terms and yet, the mother too gets aggravated sometimes and sad because of her child. This book talks about the relationship between a mother and child from the mother’s perspective and is something that every mother will eventually feel. So, this book works as a buffer for the mother to understand what is about to come.
