Researchers combined 42 studies relating diet to stomach cancer and found that higher intake of red meat increased the risk by 70 percent while processed red meat increased it by 80 percent. Thus, it was actually seen that being vegetarian not only helps you reduce your chance of having cancer but also pushes you towards a healthy lifestyle which is what you would want eventually.
