Dads are the second best people that exist that a person has. They are the backbone of a family and often exist as an inspiration, a shoulder to cry on and a person to complain to about mom. But, apart from that dads often have a completely different style of parenting as compared to moms and while moms often teach how to be caring and kind-hearted, dads tend to teach the practicality of life. And though there are many more reasons why our children should have, we have tried to mention a few of them below.
Taking a risk and doing new things is something that should be a part of everyone’s life. But this risk-taking ability doesn’t just appear all of a sudden in a person. It takes years to cultivate it and the one person who helps in adapting this ability is the dad. Besides inspiring and encouraging, a dad will always try to give practical knowledge to the child as well.
It is often seen that children tend to be disciplined more from their dads rather than their moms. The reason for this psychological nature is still unknown but speculations can be made that since a child often tends to be less attached to the father, he is able to discipline and control the child more. Also, dads often tend to be stricter while the mothers are more lenient in a lot of ways.
Apart from being part of some specific things, dads are also needed and are a crucial part of all those little activities that a child does. From dropping the little one at school to taking care of them when mom is not around, dads do it all. Having another inspiration to look up to apart from the mom often helps bring out the best in the child and make them do better in everything every day.
It’s not that moms do not protect their families. It’s just that there is some psychological relation between dads and protection. No matter how much a child loves his mom, when it comes to protecting them or even helping them out, the child tends to look up to his/her dad. And that is what makes dads special and different.
No matter how much you love your little one and no matter how much they love you, you always tend to need another helping hand and that is where dads come in. Sometimes they become the good, consoling guy and other times they become the bad, stricter person. Both of these approaches are necessary and often needed in order to raise the little one properly.
