Potato Chilla

As we all know, most kids love potato, so I am sharing an easy and quick recipe, in  order to give the little ones some healthy food. Below is the recipe of a yummy Potato Chilla.


  • Peel and grate three potatoes.
  • Soak the grated potatoes for 5 minutes so that starch is separated.
  • Strain the grated potatoes and squeeze well, else you will end up adding more flour in it.
  • Add 2 tbsp cornflour and 2 tbsp besan flour (increase the quantity if potato contains more moisture).
  • Also add 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 tsp black pepper, 2 tbsp green onion, and 1/2 tsp salt. You can add oregano, too if you like.
  • Mix well and take a tablespoon of better on the hot  nonstick pan. Make a pancake of  any shape if you want it to look more attractive.


I hope your kids and everyone at home will like it, as my daughter wasn’t fond of potatoes but she enjoys eating these pancakes a lot.
