Here are a few of Bangalore’s most dedicated organizations, to which you might want to pay a visit with your child:

1. Magic Bus India Foundation

Almost 15 years old, Magic Bus is one of the fastest growing and organized NGOs in the country. With a holistic mentoring system, this multi-award winning organization strives to help underprivileged children develop academically and socially. The Bangalore branch is located in Richmond Town. How can you contribute? They have an extensive and growing volunteer network. Interested applicants can write to volunteer@magicbusindia.org. Magic Bus has several crowdfunded campaigns to which you can make a donation starting from Rs. 500.

2. U & I

A solely Bangalore based youth organization, U&I provides some of the city’s most impactful tutorship and mentorship opportunities. Students and young professionals teach underprivileged students and at-risk youth, improving their academics and employability. How can you contribute? U&I lets you do your part in a number of ways such as: Sponsor a child, Provide a child with an English course, Organize workshops and Dedicate time (2.5 hours of your day)

3. BOSCO

Established in 1980, the Bangalore Oniyavara Seva Coota or BOSCO is an initiative by the Salesians of Don Bosco to provide homes, counselling and health care to underprivileged youth. Their main mission is to help and guide these children to become educated, responsible and contributing members of society. They aim to provide grassroots level social innovation and education and encourage volunteerism.
