Enjoying summer? We bet the warm sun sure is brightening your mood ladies and making you sweat buckets. It must be amazing, we suppose? Not! This high temperature along with humidity is not at all enjoyable when you don’t or cannot stop sweating under the sun’s rage.

So, here are the top 7 ways to help you combat sweat this summer.

1. Shower as much as you can

During summer, you tend to sweat more often than during any other weather and this is followed by another problem—body odor. Hence, change your bathing schedule and bathe more often. Instead of showering once, make it twice or even thrice a day. Choose a soap that either comes under the category of anti-bacterial or includes the qualities of a deodorant in it, as this will wipe the odor completely from your body and make you feel refreshed.

2. Avoid spices

If you love eating spicy food, then this may depress you a little, as spicy food not only makes you sweat in summer, but also contributes to stomach or gastric problems. Hence, cut it out of your diet completely. Garlic, cloves and other spices, which are included in almost every Indian dish, increase body odour and should therefore be avoided.

3. Are you drinking water?

The most important thing to do to prevent discomfort during the heat is to drink lots of water. Water is an essential substance that reduces the growth of bacteria on the skin and other parts of your body. Hence, the more water you drink, the more you feel fresh.

4. Choose suitable clothing

While stepping out into the sun, make sure you wear the right clothes. Go for cotton clothes instead of synthetic, as cotton has the tendency to soak sweat and moisture without causing irritation or rashes. Wearing loose clothing instead of body-hugging clothes can be very useful too.

5. Deo and baby wipes – Your knights in shining armour

Planning to travel somewhere in this weather? Make sure to carry a packet of baby wipes as well as your deodorant with you. You can use them whenever you feel sweaty and they will make you feel refreshed and calm.

6. Don’t stress yourself

If you tend to have a habit of overthinking or stress yourself a lot, you need to stop. During this weather, stressing and getting worked up wouldn’t really help in your fight against sweating. Therefore, try to not stress yourself by practicing breathing as well as meditation.

7. Make use of apple cider vinegar (ACV)

With a number of benefits, ACV can also help your body to fight against the summer heat, and hence, you magically sweat less than usual. It destroys the growth of odor-causing bacteria and also reduces sweating if applied in the form of a diluted solution.
