Parks and gardens are the best places that you could take your young toddlers to, particularly in the evening! They are really the lungs which offer fresh air and above all, ample space to run around and do what they like.

I have always enjoyed the time with my son at parks and here’s my favourite list of go-to children’s parks in Navi Mumbai

1. Central Park, Kharghar

Kids fall in love with the vast expanse of this park and can be left to run around in almost any direction. At its high points, it also offers a hill view. Its Musical Instrument Park, Amphitheatre, Yoga Park, Child Play Park and the Play Ground are the areas you must visit when you are there. Ample parking space is an advantage.
Timings: 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm

2. Wonders Park, Nerul

This park is really one-of-its-kind in the whole of Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and has the miniature replicas of the Seven Wonders of the World. Other attractions for toddlers are the train ride, trampoline, a web climber, Hitech Joy ride, horse cart ride, lazy river, Khandoli lake, amphi-theatre and a well equipped play area with rubber-like flooring. There is a jogging and cycling track too. The park has beautiful sculptures and a giant chess board.

3. Rock Garden, Nerul

This is a uniquely landscaped garden cum park which will allow your toddler to walk or run up and down its terrain while discovering sculptures of wildlife, stone-age men and others. Older children could take to the park and its rides or you could have a more relaxed walk showing the carefully done plantations and their benefits. The artificial waterfall is a fun place where the child can spot monkeys. The giraffe toy train is a big crowd puller but it operates only for an hour in the evening. If you want to do neither, just get a ball, sit or lie down in its vast lawn area and spend some time giggling with your little one or reading a book to him.

5:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Entry Fees

4. Mango Garden, Belapur

Major Attractions
Mango Garden at Belapur is a big one, spread over a wide expanse and has an abundance of trees and greenery all the year round.
There is a small pond in the garden inhabited by ducks and swans. Kids just love watching them. The elephant slide and other equipment in the play area are not too big but are good and well maintained.

5. Smart Eco Park, Panvel

This is a unique and relatively new place to go. Smart is a non- profit world class eco park that aims to teach children vital skills which they will need the most in the upcoming years such as the ability to be a good global citizen, to be at peace with each other and to be eco-friendly in different ways of life. These skills are taught using interactive, immersive cutting edge methods developed by international experts in a 20 acre studio provided by nature.
