This had to be on the list. A TamBrahm’s favourite food is undoubtedly curd rice. Add a couple of grapes, pomegranates and raisins with pickle and you have their heart for sure.

They will eat anything with tomato thokku, and believe it or not, it does make the simplest food delicious.

3. Apalam and Any Pickle

Adding these will win their soul for sure. None of their meals can go without these vital side dishes. It will remind him of his possibly everyday meal at home before marriage, and this is sure to win you extra points in his good books.

4. Pure Vegetarians

Almost all the TamBrahms you will come across are pure vegetarians. You might find a hand full of those who might be non-vegetarians while not around their family, or someone who has no issues with your love for meat.

They will know all the Tamil song since ages ago till the present day. Any Tamil song playing in the background will get them singing along, even if they aren’t good singers.

He is used to waking up to the best filter kaapi. So you can be sure you’re going to have to do the same for him or that he will do the same for the two of you. Either way, it’s great to enjoy a cup of coffee together, isn’t it?

7. Breakfast and Dinner Match

Their breakfast and dinner tend to be the same most nights. Idli for breakfast, idli for dinner too! Make sure you always have idli batter in your refrigerator. Lunch most often differs between rice items with different flavours.

Their weddings have the most beautiful rituals. Oonjal, one of the rituals, involves swinging on a swing decorated with the most beautiful flower decorations. This ritual is supposed to symbolise the love between the two newlyweds.
