The gorgeous new celebrity mum, Alia Bhatt, is undoubtedly #MumGoals. The way she is balancing motherhood with a successful career is only proof.
She embraced motherhood at a time when she was at the peak of her career and just when the world thought that it was the end of her career, this vivacious mum proved them all wrong. And inspired a lot of other new mums to not give up doing what they love.
Even her husband Ranbir Kapoor thinks she’s a great mum. During the promotions of his forthcoming film, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, when Ranbir was asked whether Alia is a better wife or a better mum, Ranbir promptly replied, “She is amazing in both roles, but seems to be a better mother.”
Why Is Alia Bhatt #MumGoals?
It’s not just because Ranbir said so or we think so, there are more reasons than that as to why Alia Bhatt is #MumGoals. Here are some of them.
She leads by example
During her pregnancy, Alia was asked by PTI what she had to say about trollers saying that her career would end because she was having a baby, she answered, “Of course, I am young, but why does that have to change anything? Why does having a family or a child have to change my professional life? They are two completely different things. I would continue to and prefer to lead by example and action as opposed to giving any attention to the nonsensical things.”
And lead by example she has, by continuing to do what she loves while also being a hands-on mum!
She’s dedicated and disciplined
This new mum finds time to do everything she loves, from yoga to going out and having fun, growing her business, and acting, while also dedicating quality time to her daughter Raha. Most of us wonder how she does it all.
When Alia was asked in an interview about the same she said, “I think the arrogant answer would be I am a woman and women are meant to multitask and we do a lot of multitasking. But an honest answer would be it’s never too easy. There is a lot of thinking, dedication, discipline and time management involved.”
She believes in self-love
Besides being a mum, Alia Bhatt also has a demanding job, it’s not easy being an actor and a new mum. It requires a great deal of patience, attention, and love. With all of the responsibilities that come with motherhood, it’s easy for mums to put their own needs on the back burner.
From making time to take care of her fitness and health or spending time doing girly stuff with her sister Shaheen, Alia shows us how self-love is an essential part of being a happy and fulfilled mom. After all, a happy mum is a happy child!
She makes motherhood look so easy and is ever ready to learn!
This supermum makes motherhood look like a walk in the park. While the rest of us are frantically juggling and just about managing diaper changes, feedings, and baby tantrums, Alia always seems calm and like she’s breezing through the day!
On being asked in an interview about how challenging her journey as a new mum has been, she said, “I wouldn’t use the words difficult and challenging. I only think of starlight and sunshine. It’s the most beautiful phase of my life. You keep learning and I want to learn and don’t want to stop learning.”
We’re all secretly jealous of how she manages everything with so much calm, aren’t we?
She doesn’t preach about the right and wrong way to raise kids
While most mums can’t help but spout off advice on everything from breastfeeding to baby hygiene, Alia understands that every mum has their own way of raising their children and does not believe in preaching about or giving tips on parenting. She says, “Please do it your own way because you know it best!”
And she’s right because even though we can take guidance from seasoned mums, families and friends, the best way to raise your kids is your own way! Because no one else knows your kids better than you.
She’s passionate about everything she does
Whether it’s acting or being a mum and creating maternity wear and baby care products under her brand Ed-A-Mama, Alia is always passionate about all the different hats she dons. She talks passionately about her future plans for the brand and says, “We are not going to stop just at fashion, but going to branch out to storytelling, toys, animated series, the possibilities are endless.”
“Once I put my mind and set my heart to it there is no stopping. I do have my difficult days but that’s what life is about. Wake up every day give it your best and have a little bit of fun while doing it,” adds Alia.
