Pregnancy is one of the most interesting and happening times in a mother’s life. You undergo a lot of changes during this time be it physical or emotional. Pregnancy in itself is divided into three trimesters each of which gives you different changes in their own way. The first trimester is the time you will freak out the most, make a lot of weird plans and then throw them out the window. Basically, this is the time your body has started doping you with a bunch of enzymes and your hormones have just started going haywire. This is the time you need a lot of emotional help and since it’s just a tiny bump right now, maybe we can put the physical support on a backseat right now. Well ladies, let’s get to it then. Here are some tips for you to survive the first trimester.

1. Give in to that sleepy feeling

Do you want to sleep? Go sleep. It’s completely okay for you to go to sleep when you want and in whichever posture you want. You are literally developing a human being inside you. You deserve all the rest you can get no matter how much you have already slept.

2. Forgive and Forget (Only Yourself)

Your hormones are going haywire, your skin has started stretching and you have to give up on a bunch of things you used to love. Obviously, you will be a bit cranky and you are bound to make mistakes or take some wrong decisions. It’s okay. Don’t stress it up so much and just cut yourself some slack. Even if the mistake is yours and someone is scolding you, you have a right to shut them up. You are growing a human inside you for crying out loud.

3. Get that pampering going

Start pampering yourself mothers, you deserve it. Oh, and yes, get into a habit of being called a mother. You are about to become one soon after all. You anyway cannot do half of the household work because you are pregnant. So why not use that time to do whatever you want to do and in just the way you want to do it. Go shopping, eat your favorite cake or just simply go out for a drive. Do everything that makes you happy.

4. Be thankful

With the type of lifestyle people have these days and the quality of food you get all across, the fertility rate has decreased globally. That means, if you are pregnant then the first thing you should do is thank god, your husband and yourself. You have done it and your dream will soon be fulfilled. So, every time you start freaking out even a little bit just be thankful that you are having a child and try thinking about all the good things you will experience once the little one has been brought into the world.

5. Never shy away from asking for help

You are making another human being inside you. Yes, it is going to tough and no one is expecting you to do it alone. You have your husband, your family, and your friends near you. Ask for their help every time you need it even if it’s after midnight. Your loved ones will be there for you and will be ready to help you at every step of the way. So bug them all you want irrespective of it being a big or a small task.

Ladies, you are going to see a lot of changes happening in the future. But if you have the right support system and have the proper knowledge, you will be able to face these changes head on and without much trouble.
