Plain water can get boring for your little one and they might not be drinking enough to keep themselves hydrated during the summers. Hence, some refreshing and healthy homemade summer drinks can appeal to them and prevent them from getting dehydrated.

1. Pomegranate Juice

Pomegranates are loaded with antioxidants and help solve common problems like diarrhoea, teething pain and gastritis. It is rich in vitamin C and helps prevent constipation, which is more common because of the summer heat. 

2. Watermelon Juice

This drink can be given once your child is above 8 months of age. Watermelon juice is high in water content which makes it hydrating for the summer and contains vitamin A, vitamin B6 and vitamin C. 

Add deseeded chunks of watermelon to a blender and serve your little one. If the watermelon is not very sweet, you can also add a spoonful of date syrup or organic jaggery

3. Refreshing Lemonade

You can prepare this lassi by mixing bananas, mangoes, honey and some curd in a blender. Add some water if you wish to adjust the consistency. You can even make it with just one fruit that your child likes.
