Of course, it is highly disheartening for any mom to watch her baby suffer and cry. Fortunately, you can do a lot of things to comfort your baby and guess what! These remedies actually give your baby some relief from the nasty enemy of the stomach- GAS!!!

1.The feed and burp rule

-This is the best way to ensure that your baby isn’t going to have a gassy tummy.

-When you’re feeding your little one, take a break from the feeding session and pat on the back gently. It will encourage her to burp automatically. Do this every 5 minutes for best results.

-A sure shot method that will prevent your baby’s tummy from gassing up.

2. Sitting and feeding is your to go method

-This could be a little tiring for you but it will bring down the chances of gas from forming.

-Sit up straight and place a pillow on your lap.

-Place your baby comfortably on the pillow in such a way that the head is slightly elevated. It will reduce the burpiness instantly.

3. Touch therapy works wonders

-The more you touch your baby the better it gets for her. Hold her in your loving arms and massage her tummy and back gently. It will motivate her to pass the gas, either orally or just farting ‘toot’!

-Just before she goes to bed, gently massage her back and tummy so that there’s no gas in the body and she can sleep soundlessly.

4. Hold your baby in an upright position

-This is the best position to hold your child if they’re suffering from gas problems. Hold your baby in a position that will allow her to rest her head on your shoulder so that you can easily give her a backrub.

-Pat her back even if she falls asleep. You have to let that gas pass somehow.

5. To stop crying~ Distract

-When she cries, she ends up swallowing more air which promotes gas accumulation in the body. You should quickly stop your baby from crying by distracting her with fun objects like colourful toys and sounds.

-Rock your baby and sing a soothing lullaby as you rub her back. Massage your baby’s tummy in circular motions.

6.Avoid food that gives gas

-What you eat can also have an effect on your baby’s health especially when you’re breastfeeding. Avoid veggies like cabbage, broccoli and cabbage as they’re gas causing agents.

-If you’re allergic to something, consuming it could give you gas and that is also indirectly going to affect your baby.

Consult a doctor if your baby keeps having a gassy tummy.
