Tell us something about yourself.

My name is Pooja Shah, and I am a mother to an adorable daughter named Vriha who is currently 3.5 years old. I am a working mum. But that does not affect my bond with my toddler.

How does it feel to become a mother and raise a child?

Motherhood is a new experience for all the first-time mums and probably the most beautiful too. I love the feeling of being around my little one for every tiny thing. However, this journey is not a smooth one as it has its set of challenges. I am experimenting with every bit of it.

The National Nutrition Week is observed every year from Sep 1 to 7 to make people aware of their nutritional and adaptive eating habits. Why do you think that it’s important to make them aware?

People should be aware of the importance of proper nutrition as it is integral to a healthy life. Proper nutrition maintains healthy body weight and reduces the risk of chronic diseases. A poor diet reduces physical and mental health as it allows people to be less active. This is mentally retarding too!

How did you meet your nutritional requirement during pregnancy?

Supporting and nurturing a life within requires more nutritional needs than usual. Hence, I made sure to include plenty of green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits in my pregnancy diet.

What according to you is the most important source of nutrition in babies?

Breast milk is an excellent source of nutrients for babies in their initial years. It provides the specific nutrients to your baby that the little one needs to grow and acts as a source of water to keep the infant hydrated.

How have you been maintaining a properly balanced diet for your little one?

A healthy and balanced diet is a requisite for a toddler’s growth. Therefore, I make sure that my little one’s diet consists of proteins, vitamins and carbohydrates in the right potions. Besides, I also make it a point to give her fruits and dry fruits for the breakfast.

How has your journey with BabyChakra as an Insider Club Mum been?

I feel privileged to be a member of BabyChakra’s Insider Club. The fact that I am helping co-create products for the little ones is great. Thanks to the team for creating a platform for us where we can share our views and queries on our baby’s skincare needs.

Would you recommend BabyChakra to your friends and family?

BabyChakra has been my favourite mum’s group. All their staples are formulated using certified natural ingredients and are dermatologically tested. Their formulations are all FDA-approved and do not contain any toxin that might irritate the little one’s ultra-sensitive skin.

This National Nutrition Week, let’s take an initiative to make people aware of the importance of proper nutrition.
