Post delivery massage is also known as post natal massage. This is a massage that is given to mums for upto forty days after giving birth. It usually starts off from the feet, moving upwards which ends in a head massage. It is the perfect get-away for a new mom, an hour where she is given a break from all the noise and chaos that prevails in her house. Irrespective of how busy you get after the arrival of the kings and queens, take some time out for yourself for this massage that will help rejuvenate your body and mind. Our life has become so complex because of the never-ending variety that these days there prevails a great sense of confusion as to what kind of oil to use for such massages. So to make your life a little bit simpler, here are a couple of oils that you could use:
1. Mustard Oil
Mustard oil is considered as a ‘warming’ oil which is believed to improve blood circulation as well as relieve joint pain. The ‘warming’ effect seems to improve the healing process. Along with it’s medical benefits, it is an oil that is cheap and easily available at almost every shop. Its pungent odour can be unpleasant for some people.

For many it is the ideal oil for post natal massages but its price may act as a barrier for some.

( This oil might not be recommended by a few doctors who feel that a postnatal massage should be done with a warm oil.)
