Invite your friends and meet them and their toddlers at a children’s museum to take advantage of the learning opportunities.

  1. Music class: Toddlers love music. Plus, they will dance to the beat and even sing along, music and dance are great for children’s development. So why not host a musical play date for the little ones?

You can head to a local music school or dance studio that provides child-centric classes. 

  1. Play with clay: Sensory activities are vital for a toddler’s development. Smelling, tasting and touching things are a crucial part of learning.

Hence, playing with clay can be a good idea and when you have friends to play with, it’s even more fun. You can use non-toxic kid-friendly options like colourful ‘Play-Doh’ for your little one’s safety or even make homemade natural clay. 

Kids love squishing clay and making little cut-outs  and shapes. Such an activity encourages sharing, cooperation and art and is also great for their hand eye coordination!

Whether you decide to make cookies or brownies, or anything else, the little ones are sure to have a blast. Just make sure you get some aprons for the little ones.

  1. A shadow puppet show: Flashlights are one of those common household objects for toddlers. Just darken a room in your house  you can have a light show or a shadow puppet show!

For the shadow puppet show, all you need to do is cut out shapes of animals and objects and then tape the paper shapes to chopsticks. The little ones will love to see the different sizes and shapes made by the shadows.

  1. Water table fun: If you already have a water table, you are ahead of the game. Even if you don’t have one, all you need is a large plastic bin. You can also use the kitchen sink.

Fill your container with water and add some blue food colouring and some toys. Things might get a bit messy, but your little one and his/her friends will have some good time for sure!
