Before we get into the remedies, it’s important to understand what causes these dark circles. Sleep deprivation, depression, stress, sun exposure, vitamin B12 deficiency, being unhealthy and tiredness are a few things that are known to cause dark circles or patches under eyes.
Here are a few home remedies to get rid of those nasty dark circles:
Dip a cotton ball in raw milk and massage it gently under your eyes. Doing this on a regular basis will help you get rid of the dark circles permanently.
Cut a few pieces of cucumber and potato and grind them into a paste. Add a few teaspoons of honey and a little aloe vera gel to it. Apply this mixture on the affected area and let it stay for a few minutes before washing off. This remedy not only lightens the dark patches it also brightens up your face.
Soak a cotton pad in rose water for a few minutes. Close your eyes and place this cotton pad on top of your eyes. Stay still for 5 to 10 minutes and then remove it. This will hydrate and nourish the delicate skin around your eyes. Do this everyday to see a dramatic difference.
Mix a little bit of honey and badam oil. Massage it gently on the dark circles before you go to bed. When you wake up the next day, wipe it away and wash your face in cold water. This soothes your eyes, hence getting rid of those patches.
Crush some fresh pudina leaves to form a smooth paste and apply this around your eyes. Wash it off after 5 minutes to see immediate results. But make sure to remove it immediately if you feel any sort of burning sensation.
