About Hanging Gardens Of Mumbai

The Hanging Gardens which is also known as Firozeshah Mehta Gardens are terraced gardens perched at the top of Malabar Hill, on its western side, just opposite the Kamala Nehru Park. They provide sunset views over the Arabian Sea and feature numerous hedges carved into the shapes of animals. The main attraction here is the Old woman's shoe for which mostly people visit this garden from far places.

There is no entry fee for this garden. All age group people can enjoy here.

Following activities are strictly prohibited in the garden:

Playing outdoor games like cricket, football, kite flying, exercise, running, etc.

Sleeping, drinking liquor, smoking, etc.

Feeding animals and birds.

Bringing pets.

Plucking of flowers.

Bringing and eating outside food.

Littering the area.

1. it could be day trip at open spaxes
2. since we live in suburbs it gives a nice long drive

Kids love the grass sculpture. Running track is perfect for a morning jog. Favourite place to visit on weekends.



Though this place is listed under the must visit places in Mumbai on most websites. I wasn't too happy with the way this garden is maintained.
It seemed that The trees and bushes aren't trimmed since a long time.

Descent place for kids to enjoy and rome freely without any fear. Lot of greenery gives eye soothing effect for senior citizens.. In short a universe place for universe audience..



Even though the rules are a bit strict, the park makes for a nice evening stroll. With most good lung spaces disappearing in Mumbai, this one's quite literally a breath of fresh air. A place that you would want kids to spend more time, wish ...see more
