Malika Mehta is a Special Educator who currently heads the PYP Enrichment Centre at NSS Hillspring International School, supporting the needs of a variety of learners with different kinds of learning difficulties and disabilities. She also works as a diagnostician at Ummeed Child Development Centre (UCDC) in Mumbai and runs her own private practice at Kemps Corner. Malika has received a Bachelor of Science in Learning Disabilities and Biological Sciences from Northwestern University (USA). Following this, she received a Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities from Northwestern University (USA). Prior experiences include working at the Cove School (Chicago) that works exclusively with students with different types of Learning Disabilities. Malika specializes in developing the reading, writing and math skills of students with learning disabilities in the primary years (i.e., kindergarten to grade 5). She also conducts workshops for parents, teachers and other professionals to build awareness of what Learning Disabilities are, helping them to better understand and support the overall needs of such learners.
