𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀:
Red Lentils - 1/2 cup
Oil - 1tbsp
Garlic cloves - 2 crushed
Ginger - 1tsp
Green chilli - 1 small, chopped
Onion - 1 medium, chopped
Tomato - 1 small, chopped
Bottle gaurd/Lauki - 1/2 cup, peeled and chopped
Water - 1 & 1/2 cup, for pressure cooking
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Coriander leaves - few, chopped
Ghee - 1 tsp
𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻:
📝Wash red lentils and soak in water for 15-20 mins.
📝Take a pressure cooker and switch on the flame. Add oil.
📝Once the oil is heated, add crushed garlic cloves,chopped ginger, chopped green chilli and saute for a minute.
📝Add chopped onion and saute until translucent.
📝Add chopped tomato and saute well. Add peeled and chopped bottle gaurd/lauki, soaked red lentils.
📝Add 1 and 1/2 cup water, turmeric powder, pepper powder, salt, coriander leaves. Mix well.
📝Cover the lid and cook on high flame for 3 whistles.
📝Once the pressure is released, open the cooker, let it cool down and then transfer to a blender. Blend until smooth.
📝Add the lentil pure to a pan. Add little water if required. Simmer on low flame for 5 min. Add ghee and sprinkle some pepper powder.
📝Detox lentil soup is ready.
