Recipe of famous Bihari sweet snack i.e., thekua or Khajur which I made few days back just to sooth my sweet tooth 😜🤭

Specially sharing this recipe on the demand of our recipe queen Madhavi Cholera 😊

1.75 cups aata (wheat flour)

2 tbsp semolina

1 tbsp crushed saunf/fennel

1/2 tap cardamom powder

3 tbsp grated dry coconut

3 tbsp melted ghee

1/2 cup sugar

How to make:

Mix the aata, rava, coconut, ghee, saunf and cardamom powder well that it starts holding shape when taken in fist. Now dissolve sugar in water on stove. No need to boil it. Knead the dough using this sugar water.

Take a small ball in hand and make a cylindrical shape then press it's one end perpendicularly onto your palm and make it a little flat and then press the whole portion flat. Now with a help of a spoon or folk or a toothpick make a leaf like design on it. You can make any design whichever you prefer.

Heat the oil good enough and put the thekuas or khajur one by one into the kadhai and fry them till they turn light golden.

Precaution: Wait for about 3-5 minutes to flip the khajur/thekua for the 1st time when you put it into the kadhai else they can break.

Though the description of making the Design or shape giving sounds tough here but trust me it's very easy in reality, haha!

Try it, you're gonna love it!!! I'm gonna make it tomorrow again. 😋😋😅😅 #cookwithpooja
