Hello Everyone! I’m Gouraja. Just another parent trying to do best for her child. I work full-time as an Instructional Designer and I’ve recently started blogging on Instagram as @gouraja. Being a working mother, I’m on an eternal guilt lane for whether or not I spend enough time with my son. But believe me, work is something I enjoy and has kept me sane, and made me a better mother. Having said this, I have huge respect for SAHP (stay-at-home parents.) I cannot fathom the amount of patience, perseverance, passion that SAHP develop over the years. The grass is always greener on the other side. The struggle is real on both ends.
I was born and brought up in Mumbai, and I can say I am a true blue Mumbaikar (my surname is Parelkar; Parel in Mumbai is my native place.;😊); I’m an only child to my parents. I had a happy childhood and I’m thankful to my parents that they tried their best to ensure I had one. They had been by my side when I battled mild depression in the last year of my college. I try to instill these values in my son too. My husband has been my biggest fan, guide, and critic. We both support equal parenting, and being in a nuclear family this provides a huge relief to the woman in family.
