#newbie #newbiemoms #momathon3 #contestalert #contestwinner #itsback #mom #momandbaby #momandchild #momanddaughter #foodblog #food #cerelacrecipe
Hi moms here I want to share one of my best food that I have given to my baby. This is named as UGGU in Telugu language. This is just a baby food as an alternate to packaged cerelac foods. It is full of nutrient values with full of multi grains added to it and will be easily digestible by baby.

These days I saw many people using this homemade cerelacs which will be prepared by them in their own homes with different combinations with different grains added to them. But even some people are using packed cerelac. I think homemade Cerelac will be most better than packed foods with no preservatives. And everything will be fresh. And most importantly the satisfaction we get if we do this home made uggu multigrain food and feed our baby will never be equal to any other food. It very easy to prepare and cook.
The ingredients used for the preparation of UGGU for homemade Cerelac are
Rice 1 cup

Urad dal 1 cup

Toor dal 1 cup

Green gram 1 cup

Ragi/ finger millet 1 cup

chana dal 1 cup

Jowar 1 cup

wheat 1 cup

Badam 1/2 cup

cashew nuts 1/2 cup

Jeera 2 tablespoons

Ajwain/vamu 2 tablespoons
Procedure:

Firstly wash Rice, urad dal, toor dal, chana dal, Jowar, wheat with water. Drain them and put them on a cotton cloth so that water will be absorbed. Now dry them in shade. Then dry roast them in a pan and cool them by keeping aside. On the other hand wash finger millet/ragi and green gram and then soak them separately in water in the morning. Then night remove all the water and tightly pack them in a cotton cloth. By next day morning you can see sprouts formed. Now dry them in shade. After dried you can dry roast them in a pan till golden brown colour. Also dry roast Jeera, Ajwain, badam, cashew nuts. Cool them all for some time by keeping them aside. All the dry roasted ingredients should blended in a mixer. It should be blended to a smooth powder for 7th month baby and as age increases blend to rough mixture. Now store the powder in a airtight container.
Cooking procedure:
Take 2 tablespoons of powder in a pan and pour one glass of water in to it and stir it well so that no lumps are formed. Switch on the flame and be stirring continuously until mixture forms to a thick consistency as semi solid. Add a pinch of salt. Cook on a low flame as it should be cooked properly. Then cool it and feed to your baby until she nods her head.

Definitely baby's like this homemade UGGU-cerelac with multigrains. Ajwain and Jeera helps in digesting this food. You can skip any grain if you don't wish to use.

My baby was eating this uggu with interest. She liked this very much. It will be as a wholesome lunch so that baby's have a good sleep with stomach full of yummy yummy food.

Thanks for sharing this Madhuri , please don't feed your baby anything in this position, baby should always sit up right on your lap or high/booster chair and eat. If not it will be choking hazard.
