Husband-Do I expect too much from mine?



When you first fall in love, flaws seem nonexistent.; When you grow out in love, you know flaws all to well.



My relationship even before we said yes to the aisle walk spanned 10 years. A decade seems longer to read than to have sailed through.; My first love, first date and first boyfriend turned out to be for keeps. And today I have added the Sikh surname to my Bong name. Stepping into the 12th year of our relationship, I feel accomplished.; I for one never expected to be drawn to somebody as calm steady and intelligent as Mr. Singh.



Not that I am bragging but I love flaunting him



Since marriage between us soaked in one thing I have realized is my Mr. Singh perhaps has done a lot more to the relationship than I ever gave him credit for. Now that put me in a spot asking myself- DO I EXPECT TOO MUCH FROM MY HUBBY?



I FEEL I DO......



.....Especially on nights when he comes back all drained and all tired I am the one complaining that he is an hour late.; I am the loyal wife offering him chilled water and snacks much later. My loud mouth nature questions him despite knowing that he will always be the loyalist he is.



Has he ever questioned me so?; Not once. I expect him to trust me enough to have quiz.; However, strangely I always seem to check and double check on him.; Whether it is just womanly curiosity or my disposition--I have no clue.



All I know is that I can be reckless and never be charged. This; happens to the point where my husband has to take care of all his investments and advice me on mine too.;



He allows ME to remain as I am



I can choose to take a break when my parents come over or some freak-shopping spree is planned among friends.; However he has to take offs only when I need him. Never has he taken an off day solely to go around with a friend. Never has my Mr Singh gone on a vacation with his pals.; For him it has always been me. As a bestie, as a partner and as a wife now.



He massages my foot out of love not out of favour.; He asks if I have eaten even on call.; He rubs my head when I have a horrid migraine.; And he stops my sniffs every time I rant about what my mom in law told me.



It has always been my MIL never his mother.; He love she to the point he lets me rant the worst I can. Doe she ever criticize my parents?; Yes, he does but never in a way that is as aggressive as my reaction.



Does that make me feel guilty?; Am I a lesser human being? Or am I a selfish wife? Perhaps it is a NO for all these questions.; But all I know is my husband is the best gentleman any girl could dream of.; My Mr. Singh completes my name and gives me the right o be a baby even at 28



My husband has turned out better and way beyond any usual expectation.; And I just know that I expect too much even after all this from him. What he thinks of me is for him to pen but I know that were it not for him, I would have had nothing zealous in life.;



Love you my bestie. You are for keeps and I will keep you forever!
