"Moong Dal Halwa

Ingredients :
1. Moong Dal - 1/2 Cup
2. Water - As required
3. Date puree can be used for sweetening however do not feed sugar / honey to babies below 12 months

Preparation :
1. Dry roast moong dal on low flame.
2. Pressure cook under medium flame for 3-4 whistles.
3. Mash the dal to a smooth consistency , add water accordingly.
4. Add the sweetener if required to enhance the taste
5. Serve lukewarm and feed with a baby spoon.
6. Avoid garnishing with dry fruits as it would be hard to digest for the baby.

Note: Breastfeeding is advised until 12 months and beyond as it is a rich source of nutrients for the baby
