THE BIG DAY - May 7, 2017

I travelled to home town in 9th month for delivery. Since we stay in a town, we consulted doctor in nearby city(2 hr far from my place).
We have met doctor for regular check up on may 6th. She did an internal check up and said will wait till edd (edd was May 18). So, we came back home in the evening and I slept off very early since I was tired.
Next day morning , around 7 am , I was coughing and I had to rush to washroom in urgency to pee. U got it right, my waters broke. I did not realise what was happening then. I rushed to my mom in kitchen and shared the same. She stayed calm and told me to inform her if I have any signs of pain.
Around 9 am, I asked my mom in slow voice , " Is it OK if I see reddish discharge along with water ?😐" . I was not part of baby chakra or any other parenting sites back then 😔. My mom got tensed at that point and we started to hospital in 30 min.
Unfortunately, it was sunday and doctor was not available by the time we reached hospital. Duty doctor examined me and said it was not water that broke and asked us to wait until our gynecologist comes.
Doctor reached the hospital around 2 pm, did an internal check up and her reaction was , " Oh my god !! U r bleeding and no signs of pain ". Even at this point of time, I was with blank mind not knowing what am going thru.
She instructed nurses to give injection to induce pain. After 2 to 3 hrs of wait, there were no signs of pain. Doctor examined internally again and said, " baby's head is getting swollen, we can't risk anymore. Prepare her for c sec".
I Walked into OT as if am going to some shop. Trust me, my mind was blank and I didn't know how to react. Finally, at 6:12 pm I heard my LO's cry and I was on cloud9. Didn't see him yet 😫
Around 9 PM, nurse brought the baby to room after all initial checks and I was able to see him after I got my senses back. Don't blame me here, I didn't fall in love with the LO as soon as I saw him. Today, I love my LO to the moon and back and I do all possible things to make him happy and give him safe and secure life.
Moms, share ur delivery day memories .. how was ur experience ?

Being a first time mom means you don't have any experience with what is happening... Its great that everything went well and on time.
