A couple of lemon shots after meals can save you from a whole host of illnesses.

 

What comes to mind when you think of that ‘lemony tang’? A fresh and fragrant feeling for sure, isin’t it? But that is not all. The humble lemon has a long list of benefits that positively impact our health.     

 

Here’s what it can do for you:

 

 

 

Most juices and enzymes in our body are alkaline and metabolism is optimal only when the environment is alkaline. All cooked foods, meat, cereals etc makes the environment acidic. So, lemon is an excellent neutralizer and the popular belief that ‘lemon will increase acidity’ is a myth.

 

So the next time you are feeling restless or not-so-well, gulp down the juices of a couple of lemons (without water, in order to avoid dilution) and feel the difference!

 

Lemon is one of the richest reserves of Vitamin C in nature

 

 

A whole raw lemon contains 139 percent of the daily recommended Vitamin C intake. Vitamin C is plays a key role in immunity and helps neutralize free radicals in our body.

 

 

The antioxidant vitamin C, when eaten in its natural form or applied topically, can help fight skin damage caused by the sun and pollution, reduce wrinkles, and improve overall skin texture. Vitamin C plays a vital role in the formation of collagen, the support system of the skin.

 

 

If you are low on haemoglobin or anaemic, start adding a dash of lemon juice to your meals and salads. Best if you can take lemon shots after meals.

 

 

If someone is asthmatic or suffering from cold and cough too frequently, or has blood pressure related troubles, increased intake of lemon juice can help.  

 

According to The Reams Biological Ionization Theory (RBTI), lemon is the ONLY food in the world that has ion with a negative charge. All other foods have ions with a positive charge. Jyoti Rohra Haan aap directly 🍋 juice pee sakte hain Bina paani ke. wo zada effective hota hai. main peeti hoon lunch or dinner ke baad. Aur mujhe bahut fayda hua hai.

Rimsha Idrees Yes it is a bit sour since we are not used to it but it's health benefits are so amazing that I don't mind taking lemon shots after ever lunch and dinner. Diluted lemon juice with water has a very different metabolism in our body. It is also very helpful when your child has cold and cough. Much much better than taking medicines (for the reasons mentioned in the article). I have doing this for 2 years (also given up milk) and have never needed to go back to medicines.

Urmila Gupta It will not be harmful if you take with salt but lemon is more helpful if taken without any additives. You can add lemon juice to your salads, daals etc or even take it like shots after meals (as much as you can handle)

Yes... lemon shot post a meal is so satisfying.. i love tge taste n the tanginess left behind.. i do add very little salt in it. Half lemon shot i hv.. full one lemon is a little too much for me
