I believe that whatever we do as parents, our kids will do the same. If we eat healthy, our kids will also eat healthy. If we strict to a fitness regime, our kids will follow by doing any sport activity.

And my sentiments were echoed at the launch of Pediasure’s new variant,  Cookies and Cream at St Regis in Mumbai!

I got the opportunity to attend the event because of BabyChakra and it was a great pleasure to meet  Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupati! They answered a lot of interesting questions with a big smile on their faces.

Lara Dutta is also mom to 6-year-old daughter and very much aware of the nutritional requirements of kids. We ended up discussing a lot of things from kids’ nutrition to physical activities. She gave us interesting suggestions on how to limit kids’ screen time by setting a 30 minute routine a day.

A doctor on the panel, pediatrician Dr Indu Khosla said that it takes close to 30 attempts for a child to accept new food! And here we are giving up in 2 attempts! She also emphasised the importance of introducing foods from all food groups during the growing years.

Try, try and try- is the only mantra to be followed, with kids- be it in Food or Play!

I took home a beautiful hamper full of goodies and activities to enjoy summer! It included a book full of recipes and I promptly made one from that!

So here’s presenting the Apple Badam Suji Kheer with a Pediasure twist!
