How are you planning to do your bit towards protecting the environment?

Every year, we take our son out to plant trees, this #throwback pic is from last year when he planted small saplings at a nearby park. This year we did the same as well we learnt about the ways by which we can reuse, recycle and save energy .

So here’s a list of things you can teach your kids for a better tomorrow:

  • Turn off lights and fan, when you go out of a room.
  • Do not keep the door of refrigerator open for long period. Always decide first what you want and then open refrigerator to get it otherwise it uses more energy to keep things cool.
  • Showers should be short and would be better if you use a bucket to take a bath.
  • Turn off tap while brushing your teeth.
  • Throw the garbage only in the bin, if there isn’t one nearby try to keep it in your pocket and throw once you are back at home.
  • Trees that we plant needs to be taken care.
  • If you have water left in your glass, you can use it to water your houseplants.
  • Bring your cloth bag for shopping. Even the lunch bags can be washed and reused.
  • Once you outgrow your toys and books, do not throw them instead, pass them along to other children who can use them.
  • Turn off the TV, Mobile and tablet. Instead go out and play outdoor games and conserve Energy

So, Teach your children to Save Energy, Reuse and Recycle.
