The recent incidents of high-risk pregnancy have raised worldwide interest in pregnancy perse and the high-risk nature of the pregnancy which looks so much like a physiological phenomenon. Irrespective if a woman has a twin pregnancy or a single pregnancy, preeclampsia does demand special care.

Women suffering from preeclampsia have to make sure that they take extra care especially when it comes to medications along with a few precautions like:

· Taking an adequate amount of rest

· Going for regular check-ups with their gynecologist

· Informing abnormal symptoms to their gynecologist

· Taking adequate calcium supplements

· Limiting the use of table salt

· Avoiding papad, pickle, and other such high in salt-content food items

· Maintaining a protein-rich diet

Along with all the precautions listed above, it’s also very important to know the danger signs that indicate deterioration of preeclampsia like Blurring of vision, Pain in the area around the liver, Sudden onset of headaches, Less baby movement, Severe back ache with bleeding or spotting, Sudden swelling on legs and hands, and Urine output less than normal. Any of these signs and symptoms should be got to the doctor’s notice immediately for adequate management.
