Back with travel diaries and this place is a well know travel destination.For reagular visiotrs this is so gonna sound lame but hey, for first timers , it’s gonna be super fun.

Dubai or rather the oil hub of the world is a man made wonder. The very glitz starts as soon as you step out the airport. We decided to visit this “ city of gold” during the December holidays coz the temp was just perfect and the spirit of Christmas always gets us travelling during that period.

Technically this should have been the first Travelogue (when he was 1.& months )I ever wrote coz it was Rey’s” first out of country “journey. We decided to make a short visit of 5 nights and 6 days just so to not make it easy for the kid and for my parents.

If you are a first timer travelling with a kid and elders during holidays,you might find it real helpful.

Some pointers to keep in mind :

🛫Make sure to get your kids passports done at the earliest. We got Rey’s done when he was 5 months and it was such an easy process.

🛫Get your booking done months in advance( flight, hotels, etc etc). Since it’s touristy season, the influx is more and getting a hotel or airline of your choice might get difficult.

🛫Opt for travels coinciding with your kids sleep schedule. We decided to do it at 8pm as we knew that kiddo would fall asleep by 9 max 9:30.

🛫VISA stamping is another thing to keep in mind. There is visa on arrival for a set group of countries but not for us. Indian passport holders can apply online or even better get it done thru travel agents. Saves a lot of time trust me!

🛫Don’t worry of carrying excess food for the kid coz it’s not a country where there is dearth of food. Make sure to pack some light snacks and a water bottle handy.

🛫Report early at the checkin counters to save yourself from standing in long queues!

🛫Airlines like Emirates, Etihad, Qatar, gulf air, Oman air , jet and Saudi airlines are some of the best known. We travelled on Emirates keeping in mind the leg space, the food they offer, the service provided, in-house entertainment. Also we had a few points already which were going to expire😉.

🛫Lastly,carry a stroller!!The malls and gardens are huge and carrying them around for a long time will quite get exhausting.
